Privacy policy
This privacy statement is applicable to the services of Scaura, including its website and platforms. Scaura may process Personal Data. In some cases Scaura will be regarded as the Controller, as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). However, due to its services, Scaura will usually be regarded as a Processor, as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation.
Data processing
Services
In light of our services, Scaura collects Personal Data. This Personal Data is usually provided by users or clients who use our services. They have the possibility to use the app, website application and platform Scaura has developed and as such, they provide us with their contact information such as name, email, the type of user they are and analytical data regarding your use of the application. We might also obtain personal data of third persons because users use our system to send filings to such persons. Scaura solely collects these data in order to enable users to use this service.
We solely collect such personal data to provide our services to our clients and to execute our contractual obligations. Scaura needs contact information in order to communicate with clients regarding our contractual relationship, changes to our services, in order to provide support regarding our services and for example to determine the rights certain users have within our applications. Furthermore, we collect information on the use of the applications by users in order to monitor errors within our systems and provide solutions, as well as to continuously update and optimize our applications for better user experiences.
In light of our services, Scaura operates as a Processor for our clients. This means that we are not entitled to determine the purposes for which Personal Data are processed. As such, our processing is always based on the agreement we have with our clients, who are (usually) the Controllers of the Personal Data.
Website
On our corporate website, we collect information which a browser automatically sends to our systems as well as information regarding a visitor’s website behaviour. This information consists of the following: IP address, browser specifications, information regarding a visitor’s use of the website such as date, time and length of a visit, how they have accessed the website , the pages which have been visited and search results. This is mostly collected through automatic processes such as cookies, which will be explained in our cookie policy below. Scaura may collect such data to optimize our website, to prevent misuse of our website or possibly in order to settle a claim or dispute.
Digital Marketing Service Providers
We periodically appoint digital marketing agents to conduct marketing activity on our behalf, such activity may result in the compliant processing of personal information. Our appointed data processors include:

Storage and Receivers
All of the data we collect is stored on servers within the EU and Scaura does not transfer any of the data outside the EU nor does it share any of the data we process unless we are required to do so by law, if a Controller provides us with written permission and/or instruction to do so or if this is required in order to settle a claim or dispute.
Scaura stores the processed Personal Data for as long as an agreement with our client is active and/or they use our services. Upon expiration or termination of an agreement, Scaura will store personal data relating to contact information, communications and contractual relationships for an additional 5 years in light of our internal business administration, in order to settle a claim or dispute or 7 years if personal data is related to our financial administration.
Only in relation to our websites and the use of cookies, does Scaura involve third parties for the processing of Personal Data.
Cookie policy
Scaura makes use of cookies for various purposes on our website or our applications. Some of these cookies are considered functional cookies and are collected in order to enable visitors and users to use the website properly. These cookies collect data such as web browser information, the system and software version a visitor is using and other technical information. We are not required to obtain permission for these cookies.
Furthermore, Scaura might use analytical and/or tracking cookies. These will be explained below as well as the purpose for which we need them.

Third Parties
Furthermore, Scaura uses certain third parties in order to provide their services. As such we use third parties in order to monitor errors and bugs in our applications and websites, to provide security in our applications and websites and of course to host our services. These third parties are contractually bound to Scaura and if this is required, Scaura concludes a Data Processing Agreement with these parties.
For optional (tracking and analytical) cookies, Scaura will ask for permission. If a visitor no longer wishes for Scaura to collect their cookies, they can adjust their browser settings and revoke their permission. As a result the visitor will receive the cookie notification anew, the next time they visit the website. Please keep in mind that by not allowing the cookies, some parts of the website or applications might not be fully functional.
Rights of Data Subjects
As a Data Subject, and owner of the Personal Data, persons have certain rights. Data Subjects have the right to information and the right to access the Personal Data we collect. In some cases they have to right to restrict processing of their Personal Data or to request to be forgotten entirely. However, since Scaura mostly operates as a Processor for their Clients, we are bound to our legal obligations when it comes to processing Personal Data as well as handling any request from Data Subjects. Data Subjects can send their questions and requests regarding privacy to support@scaura.com . After receival of any requests or questions, Scaura shall inform the respective Controller of the request or question, as such it might be required that Scaura asks for additional information of the Data Subject in order to handle the request accordingly.
